I will help my father to take care of my mother who will have surgery in a few weeks and I will be on a liquid diet for a month. Rather than delving into their full size blender, I went with this one. My biggest requirements were .1. Easy to wash. AKA can be washed in the dishwasher.2. Simple, easy to use so I don't get calls when I get home.3. Powerful motor with durable blades to avoid thick cocktails.4. Comes with multiple mugs. This blender fits every item on my checklist. The product comes with two types of blades. The extraction blade (steel blade) is mainly designed for heavy mixing. Basically mix everything together. ice cream, fruits, vegetables etc.2. The X-Blade (plastic) is just for mixing, mainly protein powder and any additives you would normally add. Both "blades" work well. The agitator, which I first thought was a sieve, is fine. I think the old shaker works better. I really think the stirrer will make a good strainer and I'll make sure I don't accidentally put leftover food in my mom's drinks. Comes with two mugs and two lids and you can order additional mugs from the company. . The brochure says hand wash but the product description says top shelf dishwasher safe. The controls are very simple, the blender starts working as soon as you turn the cup. When you're ready to stop, just unlock the mug. . Remove the blade, put the lid on, have a cocktail and throw it in the dishwasher. Fast, easy, uncomplicated.
