Firstly I wouldn't call them 'trendy' - they are barely 1/4 inch from top to bottom so anyone, who sees you probably won't know they're there. The initials are almost invisible, so any "statement" they can make is questionable. Second. , the gold tube clasps shown in the top image are not the ones that came with the earrings. If you look at the fifth picture below you'll see little plastic backs with a little gold rim that you'll have to try and hold on to. I suspect if I were trying to put these earrings on a young child I would spend a lot of time crawling around on the floor looking for dropped earrings and backs. but in reality they are not as impressive as the picture in the listing.
