The face shield is the same as the picture and my kids love the cartoon animals on the top of the masks. They don't obscure the view, which is good, but the plastic is pretty flimsy. My youngest managed to bend the plastic leaving a crease on one of the face shields. The plastic is clear and the foam padding is non-irritating, so kids won't mind wearing it for hours.
