Great carbs. for parts.

I bought this to replace my Mikuni which was disassembled and reassembled incorrectly by a previous user. I installed this carburetor exactly as I bought it. The quad would not idle and as soon as I let off the gas it would go wrong and stall. Put the air/fuel mixture in stock and no change. The idle screw didn't come out all the way either. I also couldn't rotate it manually like I did with my Mikuni. Whatever settings I tried, injectors etc. it was always the same. Then I noticed that there is an o-ring where the carburetor meets the inlet bracket. This carburetor had a slight BB type bulge which caused the o-ring to protrude at this point. Once it was on the quad I could see the gap between the carburetor and the intake bracket where there was no bb or gap on my Mikuni. I put some of the parts from that carb on my old Mikuni and bam! Starts up immediately and works great. So if you are looking for cheap parts, you can buy them. You want to replace your carbs like me, don't buy this! I should have known better as the description clearly says "You get a fairly reliable and durable carburetor" and "keeps your engine running and prevents an engine from running out of oil or spilling"".

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
