How can I get the pH alarm to work for more than 1 or 2 weeks? This is my second attempt and I am wondering how and why this product is still being made. NO, I DO NOT USE SALTS in my freshwater aquariums. Warnings invariably fail after a short time, much less than the 3-6 months stated on the packaging. They were initially tested and working but after a short time they don't see anything above pH 7, were retested in less than 3 weeks and no longer register a high pH. Also check the lot numbers with customer service and they were both manufactured within the last six months. The ammonia warning was initially ok. It seems to make small changes, but none of my aquariums using Alarm have had any major spikes. Pretty much a secondary system and don't rely on any of the alerts but the ph alert is a total failure.
