For years we've been using canopies with the metal frames which were so nice for shade. They take up a lot of room and are heavy to carry and you need more than 1 person to put it up. This is so lightweight to carry, easy to pack, does not take up a lot of room and great for shade. It was windy on the beach and this is great. We would not of been able to use the canopy on the beach with the wind, it would've folded up and broken. So glad I made this purchase and plan on purchasing another one for next year but probably the bigger size.
