It was a regular headset while it worked. I received it at the end of May and am using it on my gaming PC. At the end of August, the left ear began to cut. I submitted a warranty claim. They had me email a copy of the receipt and a photo of the serial number. They then emailed me saying I would have to send the headset back at my expense, they would determine if it was indeed covered under warranty and then send out a replacement. So you're asking me to spend $10-$15 plus packaging to send back a defective $50 headset, and oh yeah, you'll be without a headset for at least a month, so you'll have to buy something else. The least they could do was send me a new headset with a return label and make me throw the old headset in the box when the new one arrived. The whole experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I ended up buying Logitech. I have always been impressed with their products and services and will stay away from Corsair in the future.
