This item is definitely for towels or washcloths, not full towels. Actually I think it's the 2 washcloths shown in the picture. This is the only way to get so much space on both sides of the "towel". Luckily I was planning to use it for my small bath towels and they fit folded in half lengthwise. Installation was easy enough, but I looked at the screws and removed them immediately. They are covered with lids and I have no idea how they could be stuck into the wall. There is no slot for a screwdriver and the cap is loose. I would not recommend using them. I used two other screws I had on hand. All in all it will work for my needs but it wasn't quite what I expected considering there were several inches on either side of the towel and if I hadn't folded my towels they wouldn't have been folded . fit.
