Also, I don't want to have a lot of dirt in there when I'm chewing on the opposite side. It was ideal for protecting the side of the tooth. It's very malleable to place where I need it and it stays in place. Although I chewed with the other side of my mouth at first, I was concerned that the wax would come loose or fall apart in my mouth. nope I can put in a fresh piece in the morning and still eat and drink (hot and cold) all day with ease. I don't know how long the isolation will last, but I've had enough for six months! It takes very little. It was very profitable because a box cost me over a dollar at the pharmacy, which is almost a dollar a box (for 6 boxes). I still need to use something to separate them along the lines. I'm just trying to take a piece. the path is too flexible for that.
