First of all, my natural hair is light brown, which I dyed regularly to cover up grey. The problem is that although the color covered the grey, it eventually washed out to a harsh reddish brown. So every 6 weeks I repainted the whole head and then the ends got very dark and it was just a mess. What led me to this product. I used 1:1:1 Water, Volume 20, this intense ash. (I didn't have a 10 vol so I used water to dilute the 20 vol I had on hand.) Processed for 20 minutes. Rinse it off and then use a regular conditioner. After that my hair just got a little bit darker and basically tinted 90% of the red. So I'll try again. My hair feels good too.
