Works pretty well but app interface isn't the most intuitive

This scale seems to work well. It shows BMI, body fat percentage versus lean mass, bone mass, heart rate, basal metabolic rate, visceral fat and hydration level. If you only use one scale, your weight is simply displayed on a digital display on the scale itself. To collect all the rest of the statistics, you need to download the app from the app store for your device, create an account on their system and connect the scale to your phone. Then open the app and click on "Start body analysis" before stepping on the scale. Once you have done this, all of the above stats will be collected and shown to you in the app and also stored in your account. You can compare changes over time in each of these stats by touching a specific stat on the measurement screen. To change the units shown for various metrics (on Android. I don't have an iOS device so I'm not sure about the differences between the two interfaces): Click the person icon at the bottom of the app screen to continue to your profile. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner of your profile screen. Click Settings. Click Account Settings. Click Units. "Here you can set the units for weight, height, distance and hydration level (i.e. liquid volume). The application's interface is not the most intuitive. A lot of things I just had to figure out by clicking on different things until I found what I was looking for (and I'm a professional software user interface designer). Also, I would prefer that you don't have to create an account with their system to use this scale. There's no reason why it shouldn't be able to just store all this information on your phone, instead of forcing you to store it "in the cloud" (i.e. on their server). Unfortunately, they don't offer such an option. Possibility. If you want to use this scale for "smart" functions, you need to create an account with NOERDEN and store all your information on their servers. The scale's legs aren't very high, so they won't work. on a carpet, unless it is a very hard, short-pile carpet. Not necessarily a disadvantage, just a limitation to be aware of. You'll probably want to use this on hardwood, tile, or some other hard surface to get accurate readings. If you just don't want to look very light weight, in that case a shaggy carpet or 70's memory foam mattress is probably the right choice. :) Once you get the hang of the not-so-intuitive interface, the scale does its job really well, and it's nice to see how the various metrics have changed over time. You can also set a goal weight and it will show you the progress towards that goal.

Cons
