Review on πŸ‘– 5.11 STRYKE Tactical Cargo Flex Tac Pants by Brett Tierney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hands down the MOST AMAZING pants I've ever had!

I couldn't wait to sit down and write this review. First let me tell you a little bit about myself: I know a lot about tactical pants. I've been wearing Propper BDU pants for years. They've become a necessity in my warehouse workspace where I'm constantly flexing my body in different positions, working with moving equipment, and changing my surroundings. In short, my needs for BDU clothing are to offer me comfort and flexibility. The Propper pants are undeniably great. A few pairs I've owned have lasted 5 years and they're still going strong, but they're just starting to fray at the seams. I figured it was time to buy 5 new BDU type pants to get through the whole work week. I started looking at Propper pants at Revain. However, I came across reviews of 5.11 pants. They have always been much larger than the Propper pants. As I started reading reviews of the 5.11 brand, I started seeing claims that STRYKE pants were a lot more affordable than standard PRO pants. Here is the first problem I encountered. These pants cost nearly $75 a pair. It's crazy! I'm used to buying BDU tactical pants for around $35 a pair. As I continued to read reviews from buyers of the Tactical Stryke Pants, I realized that spending $75 might not be a bad idea. I blindly bought 5 pairs of these pants in different colors. I figured if I didn't like them I could return them to Revain. On arrival I put on my first 32/30 pants. I was surprised! Are these tactical pants? They looked like dress pants. The material was so soft. The look was sleek and sophisticated (rather than baggy) and there were even hints of pinstripes on the fabric. I mean, I could put on a fancy shirt and go out to dinner in these pants. I was just amazed by the fact that these were actually tactical pants. However, I was able to tell that it was actually a ripstop fabric. Bags were everywhere. It was flexible and roomy enough that I never felt the slightest stretch in the fabric when bending over. However, the pants fit my body. You look absolutely amazing on me. Here's something different. I'm a little guy. I wear a 29 inch inseam. Anyone with my inseam knows pants aren't made for us. I thought I would have to make these pants which would be quite expensive considering I bought five. I was very happy that the length was slightly shorter, so I could just about get by with a 30" inseam. Several Revain reviews really point to that. Having just washed these pants for the first time I was very pleased that they held their shape after being thrown in the dryer. They dry quickly and I wouldn't recommend tumble drying them for more than 30 minutes. Guys I'm here to tell you these are the most amazing pair of pants I've ever had. I can wear them in stock. I can wear them to dinner. How many pants can you think of that can serve you for hard work and a quiet dinner? I'm guessing pants that cost $75 a pair maybe could. Definitely worth the price. I will never buy another brand again. I'm sold on 5.11!
