Great keyboard, just what I was looking for

This is the keyboard I needed. A few years ago I had to replace my old Dell Quietkey with a PS2 connector due to switching from USB to KVM. I've used it so many times that the uneven writing position on F and J is smooth. This keyboard is sort of my standard by which I judge everything. The newer HP and Dell keyboards I've used over the past few years have been too soft and short-lived. I don't like chiclet keyboards either. I've been thinking about upgrading my old IBM M model to USB but I think the click will drive me crazy. The Perixx Periboard-106 has the same shape as my old Dell Quietkey and is similar to the Model M. It's significantly lighter than them, but well made. It only has a 1-position retractable leg instead of the 2-position retractable leg like the Dell. But they are the right position for me. They don't have rubber on the bottom, but there are rubber feet at the base of the keyboard. I use a piece of yoga mat underneath to keep the keyboard and mouse pad in place. The keys have good durability but not too much, with a clean and distinct press. Quiet but not still. The keys also have a nice texture and the lettering shows no signs of wear at the moment. Domed keys are exactly what I wanted. Time will tell how durable it is, but I've been using it every day for a month now. I don't need fancy colored backlighting, but dimmable LED lighting under the lettering would be a nice feature. In general, I am very satisfied with the keyboard, it is well formed, pleasant to the touch and well made.
