This camera has excellent quality in daylight. It also has very impressive night vision. As other reviewers point out, this isn't an easy setup. Installed on Jetta 2010 (MK5 2005-2011). It took about 3 hours to install, but it could have been faster if I didn't have to look for a better approach. Remove the trunk trim (4 screws and lots of clips) 2. Remove BOTH license plate lamps.3. Remove the 5 nuts holding the lamp housing from the inside. Remove from vehicle.4. Install the camera in the right notch of the license plate light.5. Cut off the back of the medal and drill out the plastic for proper lighting. Note. This will break the connection/power supply to the left lamp.6. Solder new wires to the left headlight inner pins.7. Cut the wire harness and connect the camera LED and the left light (LED must be polarized correctly)8. Run the RCA/power and ground wire to the radio, plug into the radio's power/ignition and ground.9. Reattach the license plate light housing and install the left light.10. Check your license plate lights and camera. (If the LED does not work, swap the factory wires from the wiring harness) 11. Reinstall the trunk lining. It was a lot of work but it looks like a factory install and works great!
