Works normally. The nice thing is that the coffee rises and pours out of the spout down instead of mostly sideways. Two things could be better: 1. The wide base is designed for use on standard sized gas burners (unlike most moka pots which have a small base and can only be used on hotplates). That's good, but the plastic handle is too close to the body and gets very hot from the flame. I have another moka pot with a handle that sticks out further from the body, which solves this problem.2. The lid is relatively thin and the plastic handle is too short to open easily. Even half an inch more would provide more thumb leverage. If you are considering this option, please note that it is sold under various nonsensical-sounding brand names. If it looks the same and is the same size, it's the same product, so you might be looking for the cheapest deal.
