nice thread but a little annoying

Colors are nice although I would have preferred that the bright colors changed more often. The thread frayed as it went through the needle while I was sewing on a small quilt. It's very thin but still strong enough. My problem is that the bobbin doesn't hold up very well on my Singer sewing machine. The hole in the spool is large, so the cap won't hold tight. Also, the line is so flimsy that when I let go of the pedal the line constantly comes off the spool, sometimes over a foot of line and hangs behind my machine. Other times, it just breaks off enough to wrap around the rod holding the thread, preventing the thread from running through the machine and causing tangles. I tried turning the thread cone back. It wraps around the end anyway. I also tried pulling the thread from my vertical quill pin instead of the side. The same problem, only it is wrapped from below. I also used a winder to rewind most of the line from the cone (I thought the cone was the problem) onto a small, empty spool. It would still unravel when sewn, wrapping itself around the tooth and causing a lot of trouble. I was able to finish a baby size quilt but it took way longer than it should have. If I could hold and tighten it on top of my car that would be perfect. I think it's just the weight of the thread. I'm sure there is an embroidery machine, no one would experience it!
