I really like these. The wax part looks and feels like a real candle. The "flame" is a solid piece (unlike those that have a flat piece of plastic that moves back and forth to "flicker"). I love how they look on my desk, both on and off. The timer is perfect but difficult to set up the first time. It keeps the light on for 6 hours and then turns off for 18 hours. So the first time you need to turn them to the timer position at the time you want them to light up and then later. I set an alarm because I missed time on the first day. You need two batteries, which are not included. However, only four of mine work properly. One of them turns on and stays on all day, all night no matter what setting I have on. Timer / On / Off. As long as it has batteries, it's on.
