I have had the opportunity to use the belt a few times now and find the ratchet mechanism incredibly easy to operate. The belt out of the box came with extra length that could be trimmed to satisfy whatever length you need and once trimmed to your size, is very easy to attach the buckle to the leather.The leather itself is pretty decent quality, thick leather that has not experienced any flaws for issues with every day use so far. I will definitely go with a ratchet style design for all future belt purchases with the ease of use.
