There are a few issues with this battery powered fan. The adjustment controls are digital, so you'll have to play around with the airflow you want on a scale of 1 to 12, and you have to keep in mind that every step slower means the battery will last longer. Arguably the biggest complaint is that the LED indicators can't be turned off while it's running, giving you a really bright night light if you have one in your bedroom. You need dark material and tape to close it, slowing down access to the controls. Otherwise it's a really decent fan - runs on battery power and can charge other USB devices from that battery when you don't need fan power. . Cranked up and we still ran up to two hours, on low settings it can last quite a while - we got over four on a setting of 6 out of 12. It's light, so charge up and go. It can run on mains power, but what happens is that the current flows through the battery, so it takes a few minutes to fully discharge and while charging it can connect and work. more than 24 hours at a time, it is designed to run on batteries, which will shorten the life of the batteries. But simply turning off the fan when not in use prevents this. It's so great to be able to take a fan anywhere, in or out, and get a little breeze. Really great supporter!
