Great mic with 1 flaw

Excellent sound quality, low noise floor, Headphone jack allows you to directly monitor your sound latency-free. It also serves as a sound output device form your computer, so you can listen and record simultaneously, as for example, singing to a recorded track being played by the computer. The only flaw is the lack of a dedicated microphone mute button! Yes, you can mute it by turning the volume knob all the way down, but it's a cumbersome process if you want to quickly review what you have just recorded. The issue is that as you play back your recording through the headphones plugged into the mic's direct monitoring jack, you will also hear all the sounds that the mic is currently picking up, unless you mute it with the volume knob! When you're done, you have to return the volume knob to exactly the same position as before, or you will mess up your recording levels. A quick push of a mute button would have been a welcome feature to solve this, and could have been added to this mic at a minimal cost! So I consider this to be a bad design flaw.Overall, happy with this mic. Will it give you as good of a sound as a quality studio mic? Not quite. But it will allow you to record clean sound at near studio quality with a minimalist laptop+mic setup that can go anywhere. And given the amazing capabilities of modern post-production tools, that should be good enough for just about anything!
