Great ink for Chinese calligraphy! The best I've come across. Writes very smoothly and doesn't smudge. Love it! Now I'm sticking with this brand. But there is one thing: I mix it with an ink stick and rub a good ink stone. This supplier also offers a good quality ink stone (Duan Yan) which I use. My teacher says that combining this ink with the ink stone buffing doesn't result in smudging during the editing process. Enjoy calligraphy! It's such a therapeutic art.
