I bought these for a two tone effect but they don't seem to have it unless you count white among the tones. I tested each color on black and white and both colors appear to have an opaque layer of white behind the layer of shimmering color. If you like pastels with a mica like sheen, they hold up well and give a very even coat, so they're not too bad. However, if you can get it for the two-tone quality it claims to be, I'd definitely skip it.
