I was surprised how well this item works. I've had this cleaner for a few weeks now and only use the scraper side. The magnet is strong enough but doesn't appear to be strong enough to break the glass of an aquarium when used properly. The scraper blade is clean and efficient. It easily removes limescale algae, often in one go. I have found this cleaner to be so effective and simple that I clean the aquarium glass far more often than I would have if I had used other products like razor blades, stick scrapers and even those expensive wooden magnetic cleaners with cute vicious fish designs. I have several reef tanks ranging in size from 20 gallons to over 100 gallons and this cleaner works equally well in all of them. Feel free to use it for low iron glass products.
