I liked her more than I expected!

I am 34 years old, very fair skinned, mother of a 10 year old child. My hair has changed a lot over the last few years! I get my perm about once a year and have it professionally styled and colored a few times a year, but we've taken great care to keep it healthy throughout the process. I have very fine curly hair that falls out a bit (thanks to hormone replacement pills rather than chemicals) and has been very dry lately. I was nervous that the bars would dry out my hair even more based on several reviews I read. BUT. I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I love the way my hair feels after just one wash of shampoo and conditioner! Shampoo: It took two washes in the same shower to really create a lot of lather, but that's normal for my hair anyway due to the oils and leave-in products I use to style. However, on the second wash and rinse, there was TONS of rich lather! The smell was pretty light and didn't linger after I washed it off. (Honestly, I wish the scent lasted longer because it smells good!) It washed REALLY clean and I was a little worried it would dry my hair out too much because it was so smooth and squeaky! But no. It was good. Conditioner: It wasn't slimy at all, which is what I'm used to from conditioner balms. Again, I was afraid it wouldn't do anything for my hair in terms of hydration because there was such a small amount of "product" on my hair. But I pinned my hair with a bobby pin to hold it in place for a few minutes while I still washed my face and body. When I rinsed my hair, I used a damp comb to comb it out and get out any tangles (this is my usual routine because I have curly hair. I'm bald every time I shower!). It was surprisingly smooth and rinsed out very well. I usually leave some conditioner in my hair but it rinses out completely and I'm terrified AGAIN that it will dry out my hair. (Yes, I know. I was very skeptical the whole time). When I finally got around to styling my hair, I actually didn't need any of my usual styling products at all since my hair was already so soft and not frizzy. It feels very hydrated and there aren't any dry, tangled patches on the back of the head like I've seen lately. My hair feels very light, not weighed down or greasy at all. It even has a little more "jump"! Although this was only my first wash and care, overall I am very happy with the product! There is hardly any scent left on my hair. Just a "clean" smell and it's really nice. It's very low in fluff and it feels hydrated without feeling heavy. I'll update later if my mind changes after a few uses and when I see how long the strips last (note I hold them up and dry in the shower so they don't fall apart too quickly!)

Pros
  • a beautiful thing
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
