Bright autofocus! I'm comparing this "bulb" to the stock CFL I'm replacing. My single CFL is rated at 13W, 800 lumens versus 82W, 9000 lumens. If you compare two lightbulbs, the difference is BIG. Then there is a delay time when you flip the switch until the light comes on. That's minimal. I guess 1 to 1.5 seconds. YMMV. I took off a star because of the oddness of installing this bulb, the time to actually turn it on compared to a regular CFL bulb, and the cost. Because the shape is so different from a regular lightbulb, I couldn't rotate it properly. It's actually not a lightbulb, but a row of tiny LEDs in a row. I had to be careful because I installed them very high off the ground. I estimated about 9-10 feet off the ground. I didn't want to collapse from complacency. These items cost about $30 each, or $60 for a pair. CFLs are much cheaper per unit compared to these LED "light bulbs". I bought the CFL bulbs for about $12 for a set of 4. Finally there is a noticeable lag. When I switched from incandescent to CFL there was a lag. At first it was noticeable. As I'm making a big transition from CFLs to LEDs, a backlog is also expected. All in all great stuff! They are brighter than single CFLs (800 lumens vs 9000 lumens). This solves my need for a light storage. But the cost and delay time doesn't allow it to be 5 stars. In due course, the designers will fix the lag issue.
