Review on Chemical Guys HOL132 Bucket Fluid_Ounces by Roberto Evans

Nice set, looks like a good price. But when you're just learning how to properly wash your car, you need a second bucket.

My last car was a tape measure that I washed maybe a few times a year. My truck is driven about every two weeks, so I didn't mind paying for the car wash every few months. Then I upgraded my daily driver to the car I want to keep clean and $40 is not what I want in my weekly budget. I've never been happy with the result of a car wash, so I've always paid someone else. I have a friend who has been serious about car washing for many years and recommended this kit and youtube video to me by a professional handyman. After using this kit for the first time, I realized that I had never used towels to dry a car before. Who knew they were so important (it turns out people know what they're doing). It includes a few items that I now use in every wash. I did not use the provided towels, citrus laundry products or after wash products. I think this kit would be better if it had 2 buckets, 2 sand catchers and 1 or 2 wheel brushes. If you're spending over $70 on a set and want to wash your car like a pro, you really need at least 2 buckets. I am happy with the glove, pink soap, rim cleaner and an additional spray model to dilute the rim cleaner. I also bought, used and loved Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax. Instead of After Wash I use AMMONYC Hydrates. And I apply it to plush 490gsm microfiber waffles ($30 for 2 packs). I don't know what any of these towels mean, but my friend recommended this one to me. And WOW, the first time I used Hydrate with these towels to dry my car I thought to myself - I've never made a car look this nice before. Depending on the size and shape of your vehicle's wheels, as well as the clearance between the tires and the wheel well, you may need 2 wheel brushes. My smaller brush with larger/softer bristles works better on my wheel surfaces. The clearance between my tires and the rear wheel wells is a little over an inch in some places, so I use a differently shaped brush and hard-to-reach calipers for that. The 18-inch Takavu brush even bends and cleans the part of my calipers that is behind the spokes.
