We use these as bin bags and they work great. Strong enough easy to knit, works well in our crotch, maybe with grommets to hold the handles. They seem to hold up well in the closet. I don't compost them in my garden; they are not compostable enough for that. The city also won't include them with compost because they're not BPI certified. The inscription on the bottom of the package reads "49.28% biodegradable in 900 days under atypical conditions, no evidence of further biodegradation." ASTM D5511".
