For years I have used baby gates to turn my dog on or off in certain rooms. New pup, new gate and it's the best I've ever used. I'm handicapped with limited arm movement, but the gate was quick and easy to install - and I didn't have to ask anyone for help. It is very durable. You have to make an effort to open it - a godsend for parents with curious children (or in my case with Goldendoodle). You have to work to open it, so no kid can do it easily. Whether your kids have two legs or four paws, these goals are worth the money!
