Fantastic but too much for me

Wow. Okay, top of the line, if you're just an avid amateur photographer like me, you probably don't need this light. I've tested over a dozen LED lights at various price points and in most cases reading the instructions isn't necessary. You just turn it on, attach a diffuser or honeycomb, choose a color temperature, adjust the brightness and you're done. Oh God. It took me a few minutes to peruse the menu before even turning on the light. There were too many options for me. I don't usually read the manual before testing a product because I want to know how foolproof it is, and trust me when I say this thing is not for idiots. You need to know what you're doing to get the most out of it. However, once you understand how it works, this may be the best LED light I've ever used. With a maximum output of 18W, it is significantly brighter than almost all of its competitors, while being the same size and weight as comparable 10W lamps. Colors are even, rich and incredibly vibrant for such a small box. Unlike most other LED lights, which typically only offer two linear temperature and brightness controls, the Atomcube has all sorts of complex settings on a crisp, bright display, but who knows what they're for. After half an hour of play. With this matter I am left with only two conclusions. 1. This is awesome. 2. It's too bright for me. If you're a pro or semi-pro and feel limited by the number of LED bulbs in the $100 price range, give it a try. It's a completely different animal.
