I was a bit skeptical when I saw it mentioned in a DIY magazine. It's cheap enough so I'm betting on it. In short, it works. Works simply and well. Insert it down the drain (fits between the cross-shaped fixtures found in bathtubs and old sinks), wiggle it around the "S" curve, twist it a few times, and slowly pull it out. You will be amazed/nauseated/horrified by the tuft of hair and the tuft that will pull it. Use a glove, you'll need it to remove the slime from the end as the spikes will stick to this material. Whisk a few more times until it comes out clean (well, mostly clean). I wish I had known these things many years ago. For about $5, you're saving everything you pay for someone to lick your drain if it's clogged in the first foot or so. People with long hair in the house, flush it once a month or so and you'll probably never have a spare canal again. It's so rare to find something so simple that does exactly what you want it to do. in an easy to use way that requires no skill or dexterity or the dismantling of piping. It's just a pleasure to have something so useful on hand,
