Update (October 2018) - Still using them and loving them. No real signs of wear but they are fully broken in and sound fantastic. I'm listening to Halycon + On + On from Orbital's 1993 brown album and it's absolutely amazing, but goes equally well with jazz, classical, pop, R&B and rap. These are really great headphones. Still 4.5 out of 5 stars. Update (January 2017) - I still use them almost daily in the office and so far so good. No issues with the ear pads, the included cable, or the 3.5mm jacks on either side of the headphones (very handy feature). First let me say that I really like these headphones and would highly recommend them for casual listening. They're comfortable and sound incredible once cracked, with very good treble-to-bass response - even below 20Hz on records like Techmaster PEB's "Computer Love" - with no over-emphasis. They are neutral but full and rich. You can listen to classical, jazz, blues, country, rap, EDM, pop/rock (I'm partial to 80's music) and everything else with equal enjoyment. I have found that I can wear them for 2-3 hours (with glasses) and only need a short break - maybe 15-20 minutes before putting them back on. I wear them probably 6 hours a day and play at pretty low and sometimes pretty high volume. FYI - the higher the volume, the fuller the sound, but the sooner I need a break. Your mileage may vary - I'm getting old. Now I want to give these at least 4.5 stars as they are incredible headphones for the price but they struggle to create an open and spacious soundstage. It's no problem if I use them for casual listening at work, to drown out those around me on the farm or on a plane - they reduce background noise well and can be turned on without disturbing your neighbors. - but for critical listening they just don't go through the mustard. A prime example is Miles Davis - Kind of Blue. In my home system, I can close my eyes and pinpoint each player's position as if they were on a large stage in a nightclub; It's an open and airy feel, and you get a good sense of where the players are, side-to-side and front-to-back. In the Pro4S everything is squashed together and sometimes on top of each other as if they were crammed together in a tiny studio. Again perfect for casual listening but not critical. Of course my headphone experience has been limited for some time as I have suffered with headphones for years but comes from previous use of high end studio headphones like the Pro4AA. Like others, I'd suggest testing them out first if you intend to use them for studio work, but expect a slight disappointment if you want spaciousness. If you're looking for a great pair of headphones for everyday use, I can't say enough about how good they really are. Really worth every penny. One final note - I've seen some people complain about the cable because the other has a better cable or their standard cable falls out. While I have not tried any other cable I can assure you that I have not had any issues with the cable popping out of my headphones and have been using them almost daily for almost 3 years. If this happens I have full confidence that Koss will replace them under warranty.
