Disappointing ingredients - not what I expect from Honest Kitchen

I was excited to try this new dish from Honest Kitchen. They've always been a trusted brand but to be honest after reading the ingredients list I wouldn't feed this to my dog. Maybe a tidbit here and there, but there are way too many carbs for a good dog diet. Before I feed anything to my dog, I will read the ingredients list. The first ingredient is great. Turkey. After that comes the descent. The next four ingredients are potatoes, peas, lentils and carrots. Too much starch for my dog. Then eggs, which are very good, and ground flaxseed, which I hear are good. Turkey liver (I'm glad they stick to an animal protein and call it turkey liver and not just liver). Then broccoli, pumpkin, apples. min, which is clearly not enough. We usually feed our dog a raw diet consisting primarily of meat and meat products. I used to think of Honest Kitchen as food for people who don't like raw food, but if that's the direction they're going I have to wonder. I will give it to my dog individually as a treat. and she ate them. I highly recommend this as a treat, in which case it's a worthy choice. Thank you for reading my review, Becky Brooks.
