I'm in the process of preparing food for long term storage. I've found these bags to be the perfect size for individual portions of mashed potato buds (1/2 cup) and minute rice (1 cup). I've been using my Food Saver to vacuum and seal three bags across. So far it's been working very well. Works well with waterproofing stick matches as well. I don't know why others have had a problem with these small bags, perhaps I was just lucky with the batch I received.
