I chose these bags because they are well thought out and options like backpack straps and ratchet straps are available. They work well for their purpose but have yet to face extremely wet weather to test waterproofing but are expected to pull through. The Velcro on the inside edge of the bag can both tear and scratch when you fill your bags with gear. The two clasps and the little elastics that hold back the extra webbing when the bag is closed come loose but that can easily be remedied with a stronger material or even elastics etc. The bottom is lined with Cordura material, which basically helps protect the bag from wear and tear. against myself as it leaves a small scratch on the top of my baskets. Durable not soft. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would use again if needed.
