I chose these bags because they are well thought out and options like backpack straps and ratchet straps are available. They work well for their purpose but have yet to face extremely wet weather to test waterproofing but are expected to pull through. The Velcro on the inside edge of the bag can both tear and scratch when you fill your bags with gear. Great bag for the money. I have 30 liters a day as a barbag on the back of my chopper. Love it so much I bought this 15L for a longer ride/more storage. Compared to most pole bags, these bags are superior to other bags in price and durability. No need for a semi waterproof rain cover. I've experienced the monsoon like rain twice and these bags kept the contents 100% dry. Where rain covers can only withstand heavy rain for a limited period of time.
