Fits my needs, strong chemical smell on first unboxing

I was looking for a reasonably priced zippered bag for two reasons: 1) to hold pens and other small stationery and 2) as a makeup bag for my cars. I'm still a bit dated in the sense that I have a three-ring binder that I use to take notes on all the different contract negotiations that I keep track of. I work in restaurants/cafes etc quite often and like to have pens/pencils/markers and a notepad with stickers with me at all times. I was tired of searching my portfolio for these items, so I was looking for something that was conservative in appearance but still looked a bit professional. I've been looking for a folder holder but to be honest it looks very childish and unprofessional. With a little effort, I decided this bag would do. When I first opened the package I noticed a very strong chemical smell. I suspected it was most likely made overseas, so I wiped it down with a damp cloth lightly dampened with a diluted bleach solution. Immediately afterwards I wiped it dry and repeated this a few times. After that the smell went away. It doesn't appear to have any flaws at first glance, but it's not of the highest quality either, so I don't necessarily expect it to last a lifetime. (They look like velcro). I placed two sets of strips on one side of the bag and then placed them inside the back cover of the binder. The pocket is large enough to hold a couple of stationery, a 3" x 3" legal pad with sticky notes, a small pencil case and a couple of gel refills while remaining flat. Cosmetic kit". I have a variety of backup products in case I unexpectedly have to go to a meeting, etc. and can't get home. I don't carry a bag regularly, and it's inconvenient to have something like that in a briefcase to carry. this bag holds everything i need for mending and fits snugly in my car armrest tray. hope they last a few years, if so they were worth it.
