Normally works. The keyboard is responsive and works well. I still have to get used to the notepad, as it often gets in the way when I'm typing. In the few days I've had it, I found that the battery doesn't last long on a charge. The battery level indicator hasn't worked for me yet. It either never burned, or if it did, I didn't notice it because it was just below where my right palm rests. Finally, I unfortunately had to realize early in the morning that the keyboard was not illuminated. It's my fault for not reading the specs more closely. I expected this to be a standard feature. Most keyboards from the competition in the same price range are backlit. Update 6 months since purchase: charging from not very good became terrible. Now I have to charge several times a day. It will not work properly for more than an hour until a new charge is required. I need to spend the money and buy one that doesn't depend on Bluetooth. I no longer recommend this product.
