Review on πŸ”Š Renewed JBL LIVE 500BT Over-the-Ear Headphones in Black - JBLLIVE500BTBLKAM by Chiyo Ogawa ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall it's not bad, but I expected more.

Experience of use - 2 weeks. Prior to this, Sony MDR-ZX660AP wired outdoor headphones cost 2500, a 40 mm membrane, the sound was excellent, but once when they fell, the connector was damaged, both on the phone and on the headphones. Also at home, HyperX Cloud Core with a price tag of 6000 is used, wired, 53 mm membrane. It was decided to find something wireless, with ear pads covering the ears (from 50 mm). I chose according to the user rating and in appearance with a price of up to 6000. R. The headphones look great, the build quality is at a good level, it’s too early to judge the durability of materials. Basics: Didn't like the sound, mostly slurred bass. They sit well on the head, but the pressure on the head feels excessive, although there is no experience of using it for more than an hour in a row. Ears sweat quickly, even at a temperature of +18 degrees. In a computer headset (HyperX) it is not so - probably because there is no purpose to drown out extraneous sounds so much. The battery lasts for the stated time, everything is OK. Additional functions: 1. TalkThru (lowers the level of music, increases the audibility of the voice) - convenient if you could turn it on quickly, especially with a voice command; 2. Ambient Aware (increases the audibility of the environment) - why do I need it - I don’t know; 3. Google Voice Assistant - One of the most useless features in headphones with a terrible button placement at the end of the cup. Due to accidental clicks, you will constantly hear not what you want. If the TalkThru function could be brought to this button, it would be much more useful. Other: Trying to turn on 1 or 2 function, you can accidentally turn off bluetooth. When talking on the phone, you are usually hard to hear. I tried to fix something with the help of a proprietary application, ideally reassign the buttons - there is no possibility. The equalizer slightly improved the situation with the sound, the access to the functions is also more convenient from the application, BUT the application requested access to geolocation using GPS and did not work if the GPS was turned off! % Conclusion: As headphones - they work, but I do not advise.
