This was the EASIEST shelving system I have ever bought. The instructions were a little odd, very few words and pictures didn't help, but the part labels were clear enough that it was all I needed. I find it funny that so many others who have bought this say they need a hammer to put it together. I didn't need anything at all, all thanks to the ingenious design of the shelf parts. The set includes 4 short sticks and 4 long sticks attached with a connector sleeve that screws into one end of both, they just twist together with your hands. The legs are also simply screwed on, so that they only have to be attached to the shelves. There's a bag of these shelf holders - that's awesome. The way they fit together, around the legs of the shelf if you look at them very closely, one end is slightly wider than the other when clipped together and that's by design. You can easily measure the distance on each foot as there are indentations you can count and they are all in the exact same spot. You snap the shelf bracket clip to place it in the right place, making sure the narrower part of the clip is facing up. Once all 4 clips are in place for the first shelf (always do the bottom one first!) then simply slide the shelf over the clip and the shelf is in place! Once I adjusted the first shelf to the correct height. From the floor I wanted, I set the frame up vertically with the empty posts facing up. Then I simply snapped 4 more clips into place where I wanted my next shelf, slipped the shelf over the clip by pressing the shelf holder onto the narrowest part of the clip and once it reached the widest part it is forced , stopping in place. Likewise, I repeated the next two shelves. These shelves do not bend in the middle like plastic shelves. I managed to store all my paint supplies and left the bottom shelf high enough to store a number of gallon canisters underneath. Once I understood the design of these clips, my job became easier. Nowhere in the instructions is there any discussion of the clamp construction (no real words other than the part names) - so it took me a few minutes to notice that when the clamps are joined together, one end is slightly wider. than others. The simplicity and strength of these shelves is amazing. I'm 59 years old and I was able to put this kit together in about half an hour and some of that time was spent deciphering the fun instructions! I am impressed. I love them, perfect size and height for what I need. I bought a 4 tier shelf: ยฃ250 per shelf with the intention of storing all my gallons of paint as well as my miter saw which will be on the second shelf from the bottom. Yes, I have my own miter saw.
