Probably every avid seamstress dreams of these perfect scissors and they have been my Premax embroidery scissors for about 20 years. (By the way, if they're much less than $70 or don't cut well, they're cheap Asian fakes.) My only complaint is that their small size can make them uncomfortable. But I also crochet a lot, and that brings with it two problems. . First, the Premax is so sharp that it will cut yarn you're touching while you simply position it before cutting, leading to a struggle to repair damage without realizing it. Most scissors just chew through the yarn, but you can hope for something in between. These scissors work great in that regard and the grip holes are larger and more comfortable. Plus, the one with the Art Nouveau fleur-de-lis design brings a big dose of "oooh.” This one comes in at least four finishes on its own if you prefer it on its own. I haven't pulled my strings to try it, but I suspect it will work for her as well.
