Review on Audiopipe 12 GA Gauge Speaker Wire: Red Black Stranded 2 Conductor for Car & Home Audio - 100 ft Length by Rich Ferguson

In my photo on the left Audiopipe and on the right GS Power. Disassembled, they are about the same size. Stripping with the same tool, you can see a significant difference in the number of wires. Audio tube insulation is really thick, and if that's important (rather than how much current it can handle) then this wire is for you. What they do NOT say is that it is CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum) and not pure copper wire. It's hard to tell from the photo, but each strand inside is really a different color. You can solder it due to the copper plating, but it's not copper and that means it expands more when heated, so I would avoid clamp connections. Bottom line, if you really only need 14 AWG, it's ok, and you don't mind aluminum wire. I would give them more stars if they were more honest.
