Review on Travel Containers Silicone Cream Jars by Crystal Smith

Perfect travel bags! Leakproof!

I've been using these containers for over a year now and love them! I spend most of my time away from home between hiking, hunting, horseback riding, flying and working. I actually always live out of my travel toiletry bag. Every product I use is bought in bulk and then filled into small travel containers. Although I don't like the colours, these little containers work wonders and have never leaked! I spent months looking through all the travel glass options on Amazon before I bought them. I didn't want glass (fragile) and plastic just not suitable (not eco friendly + who wants those chemicals to seep into their products). I finally chose them and they did NOT disappoint! I fly with them frequently and have never had a leak, whether my bag was checked or stolen. My travel bags tend to get thrown all over my truck (especially when my boyfriend is loading stuff) and even that has never resulted in a breakage or leak. I have two tips for you to use and be happy with it: 1) You must be sure that the silicone element is fully seated in the white plastic stabilization sleeve. If that edge isn't fully in place, you LEAK no matter how you travel. There should be a small piece of silicone without creases over the white case. This is particularly important as this small ring forms an airtight seal when the lid is closed. 2) Because the pressure changes a lot when transporting food on an airplane (or any other high altitude trip), you'll want to give your road containers a little boost. Create a vacuum so there is room for expansion. Don't fill the container to the brim so you can press down on the bottom (soft silicone part) with your thumb and hold it while you unscrew the lid. If you have a good seal, the bottom of the jar will hold that little notch until you reach your destination and open it again. This is a trick I use with every bottle or container I take with me when I fly/travel. Bon voyage and thank you Peak Gear!
