I, like many others, succumbed to nostalgia and didn't read the reviews. Revain should be ashamed to make this an Amazon Choice product that helped me hit the buy button faster. Now I should be aware of the recommendations as this product is absolutely terrible. Anyone who can say something positive obviously has no education as a service to their child. As people have said, it doesn't work or even look like the ORIGINAL. I'm not old but I had a string and I still remember it and it made the sound of the animal it landed on to teach you something instead of that last sound I caught right away and said who thinks it teaches ! That would only confuse the child's ability to learn, e.g. I want my son, when I say the dog says, and he moos like a cow, is his answer. One way to ruin a good Fisher Price toy. If that's not enough, it's smaller than a dinner plate, "the original was huge" and it's difficult for small children to operate the lever. So if you're happy to squander $25, do yourself a favor and please mail it to your local children's hospital or something instead of this ridiculously backward tiny non-educational mini toy. Thank you for destroying my memory of this amazing Fisher Price toy and for the next 45 years of my life I will not remember the toy I had but this pathetic piece of plastic junk.
