This briefcase is full of junk. The metal hinges are very cheap and barely hold the briefcase open and often fall on my desk. Then after about 4 months I noticed that the bottom was starting to fall apart because it was glued on (I think faux leather is something like polyester) and they must have used cheap glue. Last month the inner lining at the top of the briefcase (the one that holds 2 pens and has paper slots) completely detached and ripped off the side of the briefcase rendering it completely unusable. So I have to buy a new one in 14 months. I will contact the seller and see if they replace it. If so, I will update this post. Maybe it was just a bad portfolio, a lemon, and the rest of their products are being made better. UPDATE - Contacted the company on the advice of Revain. They asked me to send photos of the broken briefcase and after looking at it agreed it was under warranty and immediately sent me a replacement. Customer service was fast, fair and much appreciated. I still don't understand why I had issues with the original briefcase but to be honest the seller/manufacturer got it right so thanks to them.
