The long pin is positive and once you figure out which the plus is on the board they're ready to go. They look great and are a little lighter than I expected. Light and low spots aren't that bad, just make sure you place them as low on the board as possible when soldering or soldering to get dark spots. By the way, they dim like normal lamps and do not flicker at all. However, the red needles are not well lit by these dark blue lights.
