I was surprised by the quality of these hanging boxes. They are dark blue/indigo (almost purple) on the outside and black/bedded on the inside where the pendant is placed. They came with two deep slots at the top to hold the suspension in place. There is a black metal hook in the top center of the bed, which can also be used for hanging. The hook starts on the left but doesn't go into the right box. At the very top of the bed is a small satin loop for the bed. The box is a rectangle but with the corners cut off. I love this little detail and I think it completes the look. I also like the contrast of black and blue. The upper is lightly padded to give it a soft feel. The hinges seem strong after about 30 opens and closes. I liked that there were no stickers anywhere on the boxes. Another place I ordered from sent nice boxes but with "Done" stickers on the bottom. The stickers left marks when I removed them. No stickers and no hassles with these boxes. All in all a very nice presentation box. Can be used for earrings and pendants. The slits are not deep enough for a pair of stud earrings, but may fit a pair of dangly earrings that are one inch or smaller. The back of the bed is reinforced around the slots and you will need to be proficient with an exacto knife to increase the length of the slots. Well designed and inexpensive boxes! Definitely recommend!
