The mirror is great and looks like it is made by the same manufacturer as most car makers. The only claim to the fastening system "wedge fastening". The mirror comes with an aluminum adapter that attaches to the factory mount on your car's windshield and secures with a set screw. With that everything is fine and in order. The problem occurs when the mirror mount is slid all the way onto the adapter mount but remains very loose. The mount and bracket are slightly beveled and also have mating flanges which should/could have tolerances to fit much tighter. The biggest problem is with the last mounting screw, which is supposed to compress and tighten the adapter bracket and yoke, but it goes down before the yoke is snug against the bracket. Also, the mounting screw does not touch the aluminum adapter bracket, but rather a small hex head screw that holds the adapter bracket to the factory windshield mount. To make it workable I cut small spacers out of thin sheet metal about 1/16" wide and 3/4" long and inserted them between the included adapter bracket and the transom mount to reduce tolerances and then a small washer on the end attached. Fixing screw so there is a little extra to push. It was difficult to balance the washer on the screw, but the mounting screw is pointed so it hangs there when I insert it. I hope this helps someone else installing one of these or asking the manufacturer to check their tolerances. Otherwise it's a great mirror and works great.
