If you don't have unrealistic expectations, this fan can perfectly meet your needs. I needed a very small portable fan for classroom use as I suffer from excessive sweating. I realized that you can usually choose small and portable or powerful, but not both at the same time. Other than that, this little guy works great for me. Fair warning, you should hold it close enough to feel cool; When I'm at my desk, I keep mine about a foot to a foot and a half away, and it cools me down nicely. Operation with batteries (4 AA) or USB. I use USB power on my desk (there are four USB 5V 1A plugs in my surge protector). When I unplug it, it switches to battery power. From what I understand it can drain batteries fairly quickly with prolonged use, but rechargeable AAs are inexpensive and easy to find. After all, it's not too loud. At 1 foot away, it might be a little louder than when my laptop fan spins on. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this small fan and can recommend it for niche applications, such as B. at the desk or next to the bed, warmly recommend.
