I have used dozens of similar products over the years, this is by far one of the best. Pros: * High quality materials and workmanship (very good quality for the price) * Provides adjustable lateral support on the inside and outside of the ankle with non-stretch straps * Lace-up boot provides excellent compression and all-around ankle support * Upper brace provides adjustable pressure on the upper part of the Achilles tendon * No metal eyelets to press against your foot * Fits easily into shoes Cons: * I ordered a large size (my shoe size is 10.5 with narrow ankles) and it just fits. I have to unlace the brace to the last pair of laces to get my foot in the boot. The overall width of the boot is adequate, although the brace may need to be fully laced to accommodate a larger foot. Still, I could see that people with thicker ankles or larger feet would have issues with this brace. In the worst case, you have to completely unlace and relace your shoe every time. Wearing this brace with tall boots can be problematic depending on how much room the boot allows. No problems with low and high shoes. * Doesn't work well on a swollen ankle and is likely to cause significant discomfort with zippers and stitches, so I wouldn't recommend using them immediately after surgery. * Not super breathable. active sport and protection in the treatment of injuries.
