The instructions confused me at first as they said to "pry the plastic sheet under the spring" to insert the light. The light actually arrives *already* fitted and ready to use. Then I pulled it out and couldn't figure out how to put it back in other than to slide a nail file under one of the layers of plastic and pry it up. I'm always scared of doing this with hard plastic parts just in case it's not what you want and it breaks. In fact, this plastic element is easy to lift and the lantern is easy to put back. The USB connector is a bit flimsy and probably needs maintenance with multiple uses for charging, but overall a good buy. I couldn't be happier. Ideal for reading - as an e-book or printed - on long-haul flights without disturbing neighbors with overhead lighting.
